SigmaOS – Interesting take on what an LLM-enhanced web browser might look like. Free for macOS. Also interesting that it’s the first Webkit browser with support for Chrome extensions.

Keep Design System – Comprehensive design system built with Figma variables, alongside an open source React component library.

Puter – Free, open-source cloud-based desktop OS. Alternative to Dropbox, Office etc. – store files, run apps and more all from the browser. Also makes it easy to publish a folder of files as a publicly-available website. Get 1GB storage free by signing up with this link.

Creatie – Yet another AI design app. It’ll be interesting to see how these apps fare, considering they all have roughly the same features and are basically just wrappers around ChatGPT.

Butternut – Text-to-website AI tool. Don’t think designers have much to worry about from AI just yet as the demo website I generated was dreadful.

Relume – Looks like it could be a genuinely useful sitemapping and wireframing tool, despite it’s generative AI trapping.

Cool stuff

Infinite NeXT – Explore the ancestor to macOS from the browser. Infinite Mac adds all the major NeXTStep releases as runnable virtual machines. Fascinating to see how advanced it was compared to Mac OS and Windows.

Dog Poo Golf – Sadly cut from the original Wii Sports game. Fun browser game from Matt Round.

HTML Review Issue 3 – Latest edition of the web-based literature magazine. Lots of fascinating and vaguely inscrutable things to explore.
